Fuliza Limit Tiers Explained

A reference table of typical Fuliza limit ranges by usage level, and what actually moves you between them.

01Typical Fuliza Limit Tiers

Safaricom doesn't publish an official limit table, but based on commonly reported outcomes tied to account age and usage level, Fuliza limits tend to cluster around these approximate bands:

Usage profileTypical limit range
New / under 6 months activeKES 0
Light, occasional M-Pesa useKES 100 – 1,000
Regular, consistent M-Pesa useKES 1,000 – 10,000
Heavy usage + strong repayment historyKES 10,000 – 30,000
Very high usage + long, clean historyKES 30,000 – 70,000
⚠️These are approximate, commonly observed ranges, not an official Safaricom scale. Your actual limit depends on your specific CRB status, savings behaviour, and repayment history.

02How You Move Between Tiers

Moving up a tierSustained increases in M-Pesa transaction volume, consistent on-time Fuliza repayment, and clean CRB status over several review cycles.
Moving down a tierLate repayment, a new negative CRB listing, reduced M-Pesa activity, or opting out and back in to Fuliza.

Safaricom reviews limits periodically — commonly cited as roughly every 3 months — based on accumulated activity since the last review, not a single transaction.

03Working Out Roughly Where You Sit

Check your current limit using *334# → Check Limit and compare it against the table above to get a rough sense of your current tier. If you're lower than expected for your activity level, it's worth checking your CRB status and reviewing our diagnostic guide.
